Prerendered motion over live spectacle
A short case for baking motion into assets instead of shipping a 3D runtime.
Live WebGL looks impressive in a demo reel and expensive in the wild: battery, GPU variance, accessibility, and maintenance all climb.
Prerendered loops—CSS, Lottie, or a short muted video—give you authored timing with predictable cost. They degrade cleanly to a still frame when the user prefers reduced motion.
Use motion like punctuation. Two or three intentional cues beat a page that never sits still.
